Docker for Mac is a pretty smart invention. It gives you the whole Docker API available from the terminal, even though Docker itself wasn’t created to work on Macs. To make all this possible, a light Alpine Linux image is fired up underneath with xhyve MacOS native virtualization. Of course, in order to use Docker you need to install it. The first step would be to read the installation material specific to Mac available here.Next, head over to the Docker Toolbox page to download Docker for Mac. Finally, install the DMG.

Logs on the system When running jenkins.war manually with java -jar jenkins.war, all logging information by default is output to standard out. Many Jenkins native packages modify this behavior to ensure logging information is output in a more conventional location for the platform. Is it possible? I think (I hope) I found a partial way around the restriction mentioned above. Unfortunately, there is no simple way in Jenkins to send log messages generated by Jenkins himself or by any plugins to the console, to a file or anywhere else. No matter what command line options you will use, you just won't succeed.
